RICH KIDS INC ANNOUNCES CELEBRITIES FOR 5th ANNUAL FLINT WATER FESTIVAL
(FLINT, Mich. – July 2, 2020) — RICH Kids, Inc. today announced 7 celebrities for the 5th Annual Flint Water Festival, to be featured Saturday evening, July 4, 2020, at 8 p.m. on Facebook.com/safewater4all.
The Flint Water Festival provides a creative platform to remind us all to hydrate for COVID sake and to register to vote. The celebrities address a myriad of issues that continue to resonate throughout the world, such as the environment, the arts, sports, culture, and the impact of the Flint Water Crisis. The air we breathe, the water we drink, our safety and justice are impacted by our votes.
The celebrities set to participate during the festival to promote the cause include: Oscar nominee, David Magee, Grammy winner, Christopher Jackson, NFL man of the year nominee, Brandon Carr, Jay Ellis, Naturi Naughton and Hill Harper. The festival host, Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, is set to close the show with a Motown tribute.
The Flint Water Festival has been reimagined this year, due to the pandemic, as a virtual event coupled with an onsite Drippie VOSS Water drive, a WeAre Foundation voter registration drive, a local band and a charity lip sync battle. Local artists and businesses –evaluated for charity lip sync battle performances– were selected by active members within RICH Kids, Inc. to compete for $500 cash during the festival. The show will be produced by Kay Smith Productions.
RICH Kids, Inc. is a charitable organization established in Flint, MI to produce meaningful events, educational opportunities and sustainable programs to level the playing field for all. It serves as the holding company for the Flint Water Festival, which embodies the core tenets of its mission: Fitness, Arts, Tech, and Education.
